Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 | animals | No Comments

In April 2007 Shreve Stockton was asked if she would adopt a 10 day old coyote. Its parents had been shot for killing sheep. She said yes, named him Charlie, and began a photographic record of her new charge. I recommend starting at the beginning. The Daily Coyote.

More Ways To Keep Your Dead Pets
Tuesday, October 14th, 2008 | animals | No Comments
I should have known that one post wouldn’t cover what you can do with your dead pet. Here’s some more ideas:
Le Corbusier, the renowned architect bound a book in his dead dog’s skin.
Have your pet’s memory turned into a musical eulogy.
You can turn your pet into a diamond (yes, just like your husband).
Or, you could sell your house and have your beloved pet cloned.
Ra Jeong-Chan, the CEO of RNL Bio, who did the cloning, has said, “For my next project, I will consider cloning camels for rich people in the Middle East”. Good luck to you with that.
Keep Your Dead Pet
Monday, October 13th, 2008 | animals | No Comments
If you love animals, then you’ve probably gone though the sad process of having that pet die on you. There are many things you can do with your dead pet. You could pay for a burial, have it cremated, cryogenically freeze it for future resuscitation, or turn it into a work of art.
Ashes to Art is the website of Kathy Taylor. If you have your pet cremated, send Kathy the ashes, and she’ll mix them with paint and send you the painting.
Still, it’s better than keeping your husband as a diamond.
