Advertise To Yourself

Staying on the advertising theme, I’d like to link to a site called Take Back Your Brain.
Advertisers are amongst the most astute observers of the human psyche. They’ve probably put more work into studying humans than the entire body of psychologists. They know how color, sound and words affect us. They know how posture, angle and tempo affect us. They know how repetition, placement and subliminal contexts affect us. They know how deep social status, sexual impulse and emotional triggers go. And they use it in their $350 billion a year industry to sell us products and services.
Of course everyone likes to think that they are immune to advertising, but few of us truly are. However, why condemn the body of learning behind advertising? Why not turn it to your own advantage? That’s the aim of Take Back Your Brain. Use proven marketing methods to persuade yourself.
After all, don’t they say: Don’t throw out the baby with the bathwater!
