Michael Jackson Now Appearing Somewhere Near You

Wednesday, July 8th, 2009 | shocking | No Comments

Yeah I know, you miss the king of pop, but, like the Christian messiah, he may be manifesting in everyday objects around the world right now! This family have noticed Michael Jackson’s image in a tree stump, and goodness knows when this post-mortem iconography will end, but expect first reports to come from the US, home of the free and the brave and the impressionable. Of course, this could be a spectral ploy by Michael to prevent his family from making even more money from his life.
Nothing is as profitable as death.

History’s Mass Murderers

Thursday, May 14th, 2009 | shocking | No Comments

I hate being ignorant, but history is such a huge subject that everyone is bound to have large gaps in their knowledge. Some things shouldn’t be overlooked though. Simon Sebag Montefiore writes about some of the least-known historical figures who were responsible for mass murders, including Maximilien Robespierre, often considered a founding father of modern democracy. Personally I feel shame at not knowing stuff like this, and I have to wonder about the school history textbooks, which manage to ignore so much that I consider it important to remember.
So educate yourself and read the article, and don’t forget.

Vodafone: You Know Your Website is Crap When…

Sunday, November 30th, 2008 | shocking | No Comments

… you need Google to find anything on it… in 2008!!!!

Take for example, Vodafone Malta is offering a new ‘Knockout Plan’. But, there is no info on this page regarding Vodafone Malta’s exorbitant fees and how you can take advantage of their generous new SMS knockout plan. When I first went to a Vodafone Malta outlet in 2005 to say that I couldn’t believe their prices, a pretty young Maltese sales rep said, “What, they’re so cheap?”, I burst out laughing. I explained my Austrian €13 pm bill with a free 60 min speech and 150 SMS option, with a discounted handset. Anyhoo, she didn’t accept my invitation to go out. So a Google search on Vodafone Malta knockout plan brings you this. Good luck. I guess they don’t want you to enjoy their new fees. They just want to advertise them.

This ain’t no Satanist piece of art, it’s from Sedlec Ossuary, a Roman Catholic Church in the Czech Republic.

Here’s a link to the church’s official website, but for the best photos, check out Kenneth Depoorter’s photos.
