Insects Are Food

This borders on nightmare territory for me. Entomophagy. Might as well put me in a restaurant where the waiters are clowns and my hair and teeth are falling out.

Wood That Be A Real Moon Rock Then?

Friday, August 28th, 2009 | yikes | No Comments

With the discovery by a Netherlands museum that a moon rock presented to them by the Apollo trio is nothing more than petrified wood, expect conspiracy theorists to start beating their cover-up pots and pans again.
It will be interesting to see if other museums around the world test their moon rocks.

Born Rich Trove of Opulence

Gold Plated Toilet
There is no recession, merely a redistribution of wealth. As the old saying goes, “the rich get richer”, and Born Rich proves it with it’s coverage of incredible opulence, such as the €250,000 gold toilet, or Carlsberg’s Vintage No. 2, probably the most expensive beer in the world, at $367 per bottle.

Are We Living In A Brain?

The above image shows a brain cell on the left, and a simulation of the universe as it is now. Coincidence?

The Breatharian Institute of America

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008 | yikes | No Comments

Alright! Ever wondered why we can’t just live on air? Well with The Breatharian Institute of America you can learn how. The leader of the Breatharians is Wiley Brooks, a man so amazing he “sleeps 1 to 7 hours a week” and “was first introduced to the world back in 1981 when he appeared on the national TV show “THAT’S INCREDIBLE” demonstrating his strength by lifting 1100 lbs of weights, nearly 10 times his own body weight”.

They talk of ‘ascension’, which means to go to a higher vibration level. Ascension is described in more detail:

Yet in order to ascend we must, in a very real and present sense, “die” to certain aspects of human behavior and of human biology.

Which is handy, cos living only on air is a sure fire way to ‘ascend’. More madness from the Q&A which defend the edict that the beginning breatharian should eat a McDonalds double-cheese burger meal and drink diet Coke:

This concoction of 5d beef, 5d liquid light from the diet coke, the 5d sweetener aspartame, french fries fried in 5d de-hydrogenated oil and 5d water (5d water contains liquid gold) from the enter-earth oceans, is what makes this 5d catalyst work.

Cows are 5d beings or higher. They incarnated on the 3d Earth to provide 5d food (beef) for humans. They provide 5d food for humans by converting 3d foods into 5d flesh.

Their main mission is to serve mankind by feeding you, thus helping you to return home.

Mr. Brooks gives 5 day initiation workshops that cost $10,000 per applicant, and there’s no refunds.

To many of you think anything that is truly spiritual should have no need for money. Everything is spiritual, especially money. Do you think maybe the Creators made a mistake by creating the current money system…?

C-Sections And The Fear Of Pain

Tuesday, October 28th, 2008 | yikes | No Comments

Being a man, I can only comment in an off-hand way about this article in The Guardian: ‘Fear of pain’ causes big rise in caesareans.

I honestly can’t say that I would opt to go through the pain of birth rather than a ‘relatively painless’ caesarean. Sure, it’s the natural way, but we stopped walking everywhere and eating raw meat a long time ago, didn’t we? Says the deputy general-secretary of the Royal College of Midwives:

‘Women are trying to remove the symptoms of pregnancy as much as they can. They are seeking to control everything. Choosing to have a caesarean gives you an element of control.’

While acknowledging that labour is ‘unbelievably painful’, Silverton pointed out that the pain is temporary, unlike back pain, gallstones or kidney stones. She also claimed that women under 40 were more likely to have an ‘epidural in a way that their predecessors wouldn’t’.

Looney Tombs has a very interesting story about how one young man died.

Kottke has unearthed the New York Times story behind the death.
